Nurturing Hands Postpartum Doula Care - Supporting Families with Newborns
I am excited for you as you welcome this precious season of life, mothering a brand new baby!  Children are blessings from God, and I would enjoy supporting you on your journey with your baby(ies).

Studies show that when new mothers have support at home in the early weeks after delivery, the risk of postpartum depression diminishes, and the chance of breastfeeding successfully increases. Today’s families often live many miles apart and frequently the new dad is back to work within a short period of time, leaving the mother without this critical support system. A postpartum doula fills this role.

Without this support, healing from birth and learning to take care of a newborn might otherwise be overwhelming. Postpartum doula support helps make the transition from pregnancy to motherhood more peaceful and joyful.

I have experience with twins, and would love to assist you and your family with the joys and challenges that multiples bring.  I'm experienced with helping moms to exclusively breastfeed or bottlefeed, and I've helped moms of twins to be able to get 5-6 hour stretch of sleep at night from early on, even exclusively breastfeeding, through pumping and regular feedings during the day. If you desire,  I can help you create and implement a workable and orderly routine to help create more peace, contentment, and rest for all of you.

I am certified by Doulas of North America (DONA).DONA.org
